To pass your test first go, you will need to demonstrate to your examiner that you:
- ✓Can drive safely
- ✓Know the road rules and use them correctly
- ✓Show that you can do all of this without anyone’s help
There’s no guarantee that you will pass on your first go but give yourself every possible chance by doing the above during your test.

How to pass your driving test the first time
Test day is looming and you’re ready to take your test. You’re having mixed feelings of excitement and despair. Anxiety is high...
Passing your test can be relatively easy when you remember to do these three things:
- 1.Drive safely
- 2.Know and obey the road rules
- 3.Demonstrate that you can drive independently
Your Driving Examiner prefers that you actually pass your test. The fewer errors you make, the less work they have to do.
Remember, it doesn’t matter where your test is conducted on the Gold Coast. If you can prove to the Driving Examiner that you embody those three attributes above, you will be awarded your licence. So, go ahead and book your test at Helensvale, Southport, Burleigh Waters or Currumbin Waters and do your best.
To minimise your anxiety and to give you the best chance of getting your licence the first time, stay present and be totally in the zone. Once you have done this to pass your test, do it for the rest of your driving life and enjoy a lifetime of safe driving!
